An Inspired Website

For the past twelve years or so, I have been a computer owner and user of the internet. We decided to get a computer when the kids were in the middle school years, as computers were being used there, on a regular basis.

My daughter has since blown past me with her computer knowledge and use. As a college student, she is right 'up there' on her skills.

Me? I use the internet and e-mail. End of story. At times, my brothers will visit, and they each try to show me something new and helpful on the computer. Some of it would stick, and some of it, not.

Throughout my time exploring the world wide web, I would often think to myself, there must be some way to make money off the internet. From what I have seen and heard, it can be either a great or dismal expierence.

A blog that I read on a regular basis, had an article about a company that helps you build not only a website, but a business as well. I was interested, and read about the company, called Site Build It!. It had my interest. I didn't do much more than read about the company at this time. I did not know how to apply the company, to how I could use it, for my benifit.

A short time later, a book that I wrote, was published. The publisher requested me to put up an independent website to help promote the book.

I have seen many author websites. They are in all ranges, in their layout and design. Some are plain and not more than one page, while others are full of information, and have many pages. Either way, most people would not visit these websites unless there is a specific reason to do so. They just do not generate a lot of traffic.

This is where my knowledge of SBI! comes in. I had read some of the success stories of owners of these websites. These people had more than a website, they had a business that generated income. The Action Guide is a day by day plan to get your website up and running in the best, most profitable way. The 'days' are not really days; they are a way to keep all the 'ducks in a row'. To keep you moving forward in the right direction, as you build your business.

Later, I watched the Action Guide in video form. I learned from them, as at times, I hurried over the written guide.

SBI! comes with a lot of support. The Forums are a big help. They are friendly, and I can get answers to questions that come up.

When it was time to create my site's Look & Feel, SBI! provided easy-to-use designs. I could choose and create a professional-looking site, even though I had no design skills. I was very grateful for the ready made templates. I looked through the many designs, and chose one that matched the feel I was trying to convey.

And if you're a designer, you can create and upload your own.

After a bit, I started 'plunking' around all the help and forums that are offered, getting familiar with them. I even liked it when Site Build It! would not let me enter certain programs, as I was not ready for them. Loved it!

Site Build It! offers everything that I need to be sucessful. Helpful forums to bounce ideas around and coaching, to name a few of many. Even now, new programs have been added, since I began with SBI!. You can pick and choose from them, as needed, to help you with your goals.

I especially like the fact, that if you doubt your writing skills, SBI! has a lot of information to assist and encourage you.

Something happened, after I got over my initial shyness with the site. I started having fun with it. I found that I enjoyed designing 'behind the scenes'. It is neat to have control of the little things, as well as the big things.

Recently I have begun to earn money from my Google Adsence ads. That is very pleasing to me. As my site gets more popular, I get more visitors to my site. They look at the ads, and it generates money for me.

I also discovered, that with SBI!, I do not need anything to sell. I can become an affiliate, selling products for others, without stock or overhead to manage. Kind of a neat concept, huh?
