About Me

Sheryl KaczmarekHello. I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Sheryl Kaczmarek. I am a wife and mother, living in the midwest - in middle America.

I have always lived in this part of the country. The winters are usually brisk (cold) and long, and the summers can be a big mix of rain, drought, warm or cool.

I have lived a fairly average life, which included some travel, getting married and starting a family.

Before all of that, I was born in a big city in the midwest and grew up there. That is where I met my husband. We decided to start our married life away from the city lights. We moved to a small town where we both felt comfortable.

After a few years, I was blessed with two beautiful children, a girl first, and then a boy. Along the way, many dogs and cats came also. Even a rabbit. And two chickens.

Garden AbundanceLiving in the country, has enabled me to have a nice vegtable garden. It gets a little bigger each year. As my confidence in gardening grows, so does my garden size. I spend a lot of time there, in the short warm months. I do not mind getting my hands in the good soil.

Bleeding Hearts Of course, I have to have a few flowers tucked in around the house.

----------------------------

I was always interested in words, and the power that they hold.

My interest in words of inspiration, and all things that inspire, was not always as strong in the past as it is now.

Over time, I became someone that does away with negative thinking. I became the kind of person who sees the positive aspect in most situations. I learned how to shed 'old thoughts' that were not working for me. That left room for the wonderful inspirational words to flow in. And it was time to share them.

The other part of this website, the part that deals with bereavement issues, that is another story. I had two beautiful children, who were now in their teenage years, with all of the joys and trials that those years bring.

Very swiftly and without warning, my son was taken from me. He died in a one car accident at the age of seventeen. To say that I was devestated and in pain, would be accurate. To know that things would be forever changed, and not be the same as they used to be.

I channeled my thoughts and energy into writing a journal. I started writing when I learned that my son died, and stopped writing a year later, on the anniverseriy of the accident. I wrote and recorded the things that I was fleeing and how I had changed. I was writing for myself.

Eventually the journal was made into a book. I felt that there were other parents like me-who had lost a child, and would be on a similiar journey to recovery.

------------------------------

How to share Words of Inspiration to others? I had no idea. A book? A blog? A website?

I think that the internet is a facinating place; to learn and to share information. So I concentrated on finding an outlet there. After looking around for awhile, I chose a business called SBI! to start my website. They allow me to share my passion with others. I would not have taken the first steps to creating a website without them.

My life up to this point has been a great learning expierence. Filled with some saddness and some joy along the way. Also a lot of good friends.

The journey for each one of us will be different. I would like to think that I can share a bit of inspiration for some of you along the way. My glass is half full.

Thank you for taking the time to know a little bit about me,

Sheryl
